Minutes of the General Assembly of 2022-07-03 Present during the online meeting on BigBlueButton: Andreas Enge, Efraim Flashner, Christopher Baines, Oliver Propst, Simon Tournier, Julien Lepiller, Jonathan Brielmaier By email: Ricardo Wurmus 8 out of 17 members, the quorum of 2/3 for an Extraordinary Assembly is not reached. The meeting continues as an Ordinary General Assembly. 1) Extension of the Solidary Administrative Council Ricardo Wurmus, Jonathan and Christopher are candidates and are elected unanimously. 2) Residence of the association It is decided unanimously with one abstention to move the association's residence to Simon's home address in Paris. 3) Miscellaneous * 10 year meeting in Paris We should use it for recruiting new members. Simon volunteers to ask for a slot of 10 minutes on Saturday to present the association. * Website - technique Andreas has made a proof of concept site powered by Haunt. It should be moved to guix.info or a subdomain such as europe.guix.info, foundation.guix.info or association.guix.info. Simon suggests to move the website to an easily accessible git hosting platform; continuous integration could then launch "haunt build" and push the result to our server. Julien suggests framagit.org and creates the group https://framagit.org/guix-europe . Christopher points out that this could eventually hold most of the data of the guix-europe subdirectory of the maintenance repo on savannah. * Website - content Simon suggests to have monthly community news to make the site more dynamic and make people come back. Julien suggests to invite people to write something about Guix, as on the 10 year blog entry; it could be only ten lines of testimony. Simon proposes quick interviews, or people describing their workflow. Oliver volunteers to start the effort; we should collectively edit a file in framagit and polish and publish it at the end of the month. * Tax deduction Simon will enquire about the possibility of becoming a tax deductible entity/charity/association in the public interest and report back at the next meeting.
