Our volunteers support, energy and dedication are critical to Guix Foundation. We're not backed by a large corporate parent, instead everything in Guix Foundation is done by our volunteer members. If you'd like to help us build a healthy, sustainable and active community around Guix then we welcome your ideas and efforts.
Advocate and Promote Guix
If you'd like to support the growth of Guix in your community then running a Guix event or some other way of advocating Guix is fantastic.
There are lots of different ways you can support Guix's growth as a global community. Members run local events, represent Guix at conferences and organise mentoring activities like Outreachy.
Other members may have done something similar before, or may be able to help out, so the best thing to do is to start a discussion on our members mailing list.

Make a proposal or request funding
Guix Foundation accepts proposals from both members and non-members for funding and support that are aligned with our goal of supporting the GNU Guix project.
If you're a member you can put forward an idea, discussion or proposal on the Guix Foundation member mailing list.
If you're not a member then you can still put forward a proposal which the Foundation's organising committee will consider. Please contact us so we can learn more about your idea.
Volunteer in the Foundation
We're a small volunteer team and are always looking for people to help out. Drop us a line through the contact form so we can talk about how you can help.
The highest level of effort and commitment is to be a member of the organising committee, or to run the Foundation as President and Treasurer. To take up these roles any member can propose themselves at the annual General Assembly.
